Joyce Appoints Sustainability Lead - Dr Scott Pye

Producing polyurethane foam with the least environmental impact and using the most sustainable processes, has been a core philosophy of Joyce for more than a decade. We are the Australian leaders in this field, and our customers have come to rely on the superior environmental reputation and credentials of using Joyce foam in their products. Dr Scott Pye will be taking a leadership role in further developing and communicating our sustainability efforts. 

Scott has a PHD in chemistry where, under the guidance of one of the pioneers of Green & Sustainable Chemistry in Australia, Prof. Colin Raston AO, Scott researched a technology previously thought of as impossible. The technology of the unboiling of an egg and how it can be applied to old reaction processes to provide greener, more sustainable outcomes.

Scott has a strong passion for sustainability: “Sustainability is something very important to me, because the alternative is simply that - unsustainable, and will cause imminent problems for people and the environment.”
